Onika Jervis is the Founder of Maraka Consulting, an international consulting firm advising corporate and government clients in the US and the Caribbean on flood management, waste management, and solar energy.

Before launching Maraka Consulting, Onika joined the international organization of GirlTrek as employee number 2. There she helped grow the organization from 25,000 Black women in 8 cities to a movement of 1 million Black women walking in nearly 50 cities. Girl Trek’s work has been featured in Forbes, CNN, and was part of First Lady Obama’s Initiative on Girls. Before GirlTrek, Onika was the Founding Executive Director of Youth Run Nola, a nonprofit focused on training 150 youth on running, goal-setting, and cultivating success.
